The Kenmore 420 Model 625.384200 shares the same height (floor to inlet-outlet) and 3/4" valve size as several older Kenmore models, including 625.340700, 625.340752, and 625.388200. If you're replacing an older Kenmore system, this new model should be a seamless fit.

However, some older Kenmore models have a shorter height (floor to inlet-outlet) of 34" to 36.5". In these cases, additional plumbing will be required to install the taller 41.5" Kenmore 350 model.

Please note that due to manufacturing variations, the Kenmore water softener valve height may differ by up to 1/2" from your existing system. This slight difference won't affect the performance of the new unit.
